To quote South Park my best friend and I are "Jews, we're lonely Jews on Christmas." So, we were thinking of going to see a show.
No, my question is as follows. Is Times Square going to be jam packed and is this going to be a bad idea? Or are most people going to be doing stuff with their families and not be in the theatre district?
Go see Spamalot. They appreciate the Jews :)
I would guess since most (if not all) shows play Xmas NIGHT, that it's fairly busy.
Funny thing: I'm seeing Billy Elliot that night. Two jews eating chinese food and going to the theater....sounds like christmas to me!!!!
I don't know how you were planning on getting your tickets...rush, buying ahead, tkts....but go! support the economy!

I'll be skiing Christmas, but my family usually hits up the local movie theater and then Chinese food.

Movies and chinese food is the traditional Jewish celebration. So many good movies out that day, hard to chose!
Easier to pick out what to eat :)
Is it sad that I'm Christian yet my Christmas tradition is still a movie and chinese food?
Anyway, I expect it will be busy since yes, they are at night so people will be going as gifts. But yet again, in this economy, who knows?

geekgirl06: Of course it isn't sad. I am going to the movies with a group of friends, some Jewish, some Christian. The movies are busy and it isn't only with Jewish people, believe me!
