Ok, I need some opinions on this (please)....
Last year, I gave one of my very good friends tickets to see TMM and she loved it, especially (being a singer herself) Sutton's voice. Since my friend has kids it'a tough for her to go see shows but I am taking her to see The Producers next Tuesday.
I've briefly met Sutton a couple times, and she always *seemed* to remember me and alway been nice, but that was awhile ago since I was out of the country for a few months.
It would mean EVERYTHING (and that's an understatement) to my friend if she could meet her. This particular friend means a lot to me and she's done so much for me so I'd really like to do this for her.I would just take her another night but since she has kids it'a tough for her to go to nyc.
Would it be weird if, when I'm in the city this weekend, I waited by the stage door with the slight chance she would ever remember me or my face would at least look familiar so I could ask her myself?
I've never done this so I don't know what to do. But it would mean the the world to my friend. Does anyone have any suggestions or thoughts?

What have you got to lose? Time? Baby, that's slippin' by anyway.
IOW: GO FOR IT!!!
Actors are generally rushing/in the zone as they come to work.
Before the show isn't the best time to get quality time. If you have a way to leave a note at the door/get in touch with her, perhaps you can take them in after the show. That way you may get more than a quick polite hand shake.
Yes, working in the entertainment industry, I'm fully aware of how actors are before a show.
ckeaton....
As I said before, I would never consider it if we could be there when the show gets out. But we'll still be at the show we are seeing that night.
