Writing to performers who aren't in shows

Through their agent or management would be the only other way.
I'm curious as to what you thought was any other sort of possibility.

Can you elaborate on the performer's identity? I imagine that will have some kind of impact on the right way to approach this.
If it's a mega star, there will usually be an address just for fan mail you can send it to or sometimes the official fan club (if there is one) can actually forward on your letter.
I would discourage you from sending a fan letter to the performer's agency as it will probably just get discarded, unless the performer is a star. In that case, the performer might have an assistant who handles all fan mail. If that applies here, the agency will usually forward it on to that individual.
If the performer has a rep or publicist, however, you're better off to send it their way. But not to their agency.

I was looking to send to Laura Benanti, Audra McDonald, and Katie Finneran.

That's a tough one. My best suggestion is to send it to her Management (not her Agent). You can find the contact info on her website under "REPRESENTATION". Best of luck!

Posted: 7/15/13 at 4:42pmJust Google them and find the info for their publicist, manager, or a Fan Mail address. They're all big enough names to have their own site with the info on there. I did some of the work for you with Laura.

Because they don't want to have to dig through piles of fan mail to find their telephone bills.
