So I'm shopping for friends and making wish lists chock full of OBCR's and I want a few opinion:
1) What should I get for my friend based on this info:
+loves Phantom, Chicago and Lippa's Wild Party
+detests most main stream stuff
I was thinking like, Taboo or Metropolis (although I haven't heard either)
and
2) Which Little Me version should I get: original or Martin Short?
thanks =)

Jekyll & HYDE (Either OBRC (!) or the double disc-Pre-Broadway concept album) or The Scarlet Pimpernel (either OBRC (!) or Encore!)...anything Wildhorn except The Civil War. Wildhorn's been known to be the "Poor man's Lloyd Webber."
Edit: Both are flops for the record; I assume Jekyll's the longest running flop (although not positive!) And of course Pimpy flopped 3 times on Broadway!

That is exactly what I thought too!
But, back to topic, get Taboo.

Yeah, I thought the same. X-Men musical might be kind of cool. After all, X-Men has got Hugh Jackman and James Marsden are X-Men after all.
Do you think your friend might like "Assassins?" There are two recordings, and I like them both. One is the original cast with Victor Garber and Terrence Mann and Eddie Korbich and company,and the other is the 2004 revival production with Michael Cerveris and James Barbour and Neil Patrick Harris and Marc Kudisch and Alexander Gemignani and other people I can't remember off the top of my head.
