XANADU OBCR needs your help in reviewing the CD on Amazon.com

Hi To All Xanadu Fans....fANADUs & Du Crews.....and everyone else who enjoyed the CD...

Do you think you guys can do me a huge favor? I was looking at Amazon.com.. and I have noticed that the XANADU OBCR...on Customer Reviews have been like one star and two star... Do you guys think we can all WRITE a review and tell how much we love the CD ! it will only take a minute or two...

Yes !!! Xanadu needs your help !! Show your love to Kerry, Cheyenne, Curtis, Mary, Jackie, Tony, Marty, Annie, Andre, Kate, Kenita and everyone....and its a good way to show our support to the cast, aside from buying a ticket to the show

If thats what reviewers think then thats what they are entitled to give it. Not exactly far to get loads of people giving it 4 or 5 stars when it simply isnt worthy of them.

Yes, even the standbys sing on the album.

WickedBoy2, it IS worth 5 stars. The majority of people on BWW who own the cast recording LOVE IT, so Jay is asking us to spread that love on Amazon, to even out the reviews and show our support.

is that the norm w cast albums, or a special case since xanadu is such a small group?

We are showing our support by buying it and enough people did to help it crack the Billboard Top 200, something not all that many cast albums do.

In good faith, I couldn't give the CD more than 3 1/2 stars...it's enjoyable, Cheyenne REALLY shines and the group numbers are terrific, but as a document of a terrific show that really needs to be seen live, it could have been so much better.

Giving it a five star rating if you don't think it merits it just to counterbalance the bad reviews feels a little wrong.

There is absolutely nothing wrong with Jaystar and Wonderrobbie getting the word out that Xanadu could use more positive reviews on Amazon from people who love the recording.

That being said, although I think the show is easily 5 stars (I have seen the show 7 times--which I know is nothing compared to many but does show that I love it)--the recording is not as worthy of the show as I wish it was. I personally won't review it because I couldn't give it as favorable a review as I would like.

Well.. This is just a friendly reminder for those people who believe and truly feel that the XANADU OBCR needs a top rating on Amazon.com and if you dont feel the same way, that's okay.... people are entitled to their own opinion...

This is just pathetic. WHO CARES what the Amazon reviewers think- If how many stars the Xanadu OBCR has gotten on Amazon is worrying you, you need to get a life.

JoeKv99- I definitely HAVE A LIFE ! and seems to me that your last few posts.. you have been constantly attacking me for no REASON and trying to get my attention. To my recollection- I have not done anything wrong to you....and I dont know why you despise me so much?

I love the show, proclaim my love of it to everyone who cares to listen and even though my feelings are mixed about the CD, I still play it a lot. I just can't go the five-star route....

Why do you feel you have to prompt people to give it five stars? You actually tell them to go to the site and give it high scores! The show is not bad at all but the production values of the CD are dire- why cant you guys just except that!

Honestly... I didn't even give it any rating... I could care less what people "rate" but like I said in other thread, it just annoys me when people just write "this is the worst cast recording ever blah blah blah" on Amazon or wherever...
It just a reminder of the show... it's not going to be as "magical" (har har) as the live experience. Although I do have friends that have NOT seen the show and are in love with the CD... so to each his own right?

C'mon guys! We gotta help out Xanadu! If you can't go on Amazon and reviw it (FIVE *****, PLEASE!) then go and stand in front of the box office so it at least LOOKS like people are buying tickets, K? Then maybe people will see you standing in line and say "Hmmmm, maybe that show's not so bad THOSE people are waiting for tickets! I'll buy tickets too!"

C'mon! Stand in line in front of the box office for Xanadu!
