SPOILER :
BTW- On a earlier posting on another thread: Someone asked if the muses glow ?
Yes. They did in the mural painting only .. When they came alive in "I'm Alive" number . the mural glow...... as one muses one after another came out ..the outline of their bodies glow with blue light as they came thru the elevator... and also-- when they came back to the mural "The Fall". Am I the only one who noticed this ? BTW- The Opening numbers is fantastic !!!
But Kira did not glow as in the movie when she was skating...I thought I might add that.

Haha, It seems like you're in gay heaven!
The Helen Hayes is definitely a gay haven right now...

Not when I was there last night--- plenty of straight people, and families (especially tourists) with their children.
Well, I mean for the gays that see the show, not saying that most people at the theatre are gay, that is a myth that I don't promote.

What do you mean Cheyenne Jackson can't play a "schnook"? I saw him in SUPERMAN! last night at Mufti and his Clark Kent was as "schnooky" as they come. The guy was marvelous!
I agree, Muscle... my reply was in response to Jay-
OOps. I dont mean to offend anyone, okay ?... Im just making a joke ! besides a muse never offends anyone..."we the sisters of nine does not offend ..but only inspires " (in unison)
unless youre an evil muse !
BTW--What is that line in Xanadu that refers to a gay theater again ????

No offense taken, Jay---- just didnt agree is all.
I can't wait for the reviews to come out!
The more positive reviews that appear on this board, the more I want to go see this show.

Let me add my agreement that Xanadu is an amazingly fun show. I originally saw it two days after the previews began and am planning on seeing it again VERY soon. The entire cast is top-notch, the film's score translates wonderfully to the stage, the added songs are a rousing good time (especially Have You Never Been Mellow), and Beane's take on the story is nothing short of hysterical.
Xanadu obviously doesn't pretend to be the next great American musical. This will definitely be a "cult" show, and for my money, that's quite all right.
I host a podcast, and a few weeks back we reviewed Xanadu. In fact, we've talked it up so much several of our listeners have gone to see the show and come back raving about it as well. Word of mouth is definitely gonna sell this show.
