Is the XANADU cast recording available at the Helen Hayes yet?

toibas i understand its a month early, but it was announced xanadu would have the cd at the thtr around the first week of december. thanks for the 12/11 date jay

Jared, several articles had previously announced the XANADU Original Broadway Cast Recording would be announced 'teh first week of December' - Time passed and the release date was bumped to December 11th (with product purchases via the PS Classics website, and of course, the Helen Hayes Theatre). The rest of the public? Well, they'll have to wait until January 8th (the 'official' release date nation-wide).

Just pre-order it on the 6th (www.PSClassis.com). While you're there, check out the other albums they have for sale; great selection, if I may say so. They're a GREAT bunch over there at PS Classics, great bunch indeed!

everytime ive done it, legally blonde, wicked, and many in between it's never been a problem. it's usually a few bucks more than ud normally pay in a store, ($20 at the thtr) but its worth it to have it early

At the show tonight, they were playing the CD. I'm not sure if it was onsale or not though.

Yes, you may purchase the CD in the theater. But just incase they won't let you in, ask a favor from one of the people who are selling programs outside to get you one.

Were they playing the cast album or just the movie soundtrack? If they were actually selling the cast album at the theater I must haul &@( to the theater tomorrow. Updates needed!

Go across the street to Virgin & get it cheaper. If you wish to get ripped off at the theater, by all means do so.

If you would have read the rest of the thread, Roxy dear, you would see that the CD is not going to be available at the Virgin store until January.

In fact, the whole purpose of this thread was to ask if the CD was available at the theatre yet, as the original poster knew it was going to be available there exclusively first.

Okay...so there's no confusion per Robbie (who works for PS Classics)

PLS READ THIS :

The Xanadu Original Broadway Cast Recording (not movie soundtrack) will be available at the Helen Hayes Theater on December 11, 2007 (tuesday) and on their website too . (but you can pre-order it by 12/6..if you wanna get it on time ..depending where you live-hopefully if you pre-order it by 12/6- you might get it by 12/11 thru mail- that's what I am going to do !)

The Xanadu OBCR would be available on any retail stores on January 8, 2008.(including Amazon.com) If you want to get your Xanadu OBCR by 12/11- you either have to go to the theater or order it here:

No its not available now anywhere ..not till Dec. 11- the earliest ! - 10 days from now..

This has nothing to do with Xanadu (well I am glad that I will be able to pick up the Cd when I see the show later this month), however does anybody know when the Young Frankenstein Recording is going to be available at the Hilton? I'm seeing it next Saturday (12/8/07) and was hoping to pick it up then....

Thanks for the clarification Jay, I was hoping it might be at the theater a few days earlier, I am tired of Olivia Newton John singing Xanandu, I want Kerry Butler already!
