Does anyone know if the cast of Xanadu will be doing an original cast recording? When I saw the show in June, they were selling the Olivia Newton John CD but I'd like to see the OBC make a CD.
Thanks for any info.
The administrator of the fANADU blog says a CD is definitely in the works but it's only in planning stages right now
They're doing a Broadway Cast Recording. The only question remains will Caprinello or Jackson record as "Sonny."
Yes! I'm kinda hoping it's Cheyenne, but poor James. Maybe they can have both...
I hope it comes out on 8-track.
Smaxie.... you are a hoot! But I hope it comes out soon!
Personally, with no disrespect to James, I think that the opening night cast should cut the CD.

not to threadjack, but when did Luke Hawkins come in? I don't think he is OBC, but came in like right after. And furthermore, what is he in the show?
Luke Hawkins is the understudy of Marty Thomas and Marty Thomas is Curtis Holbrook's understudy as young Sonny...
Now that Cheyenne is back.. i doubt if you see Luke on Xanadu
well here's Luke

Has there been any word on when James is comming back? And does anyone know what he did to be out of the show this long?
lakezurich: Carpinello broke his leg during rehearsals. He'll need time to recover and probably won't be back till fall at the earliest.
Luke Hawkins is featured skater #2-
Marty Thomas got hurt, so he is not Curtis' U/S at the moment-
Luke is Curtis' U/S as Young Sonny when Cheyenne is not playing Sonny.
Btw, Playbill cover is now different--- Black and white, with Kira on cover with "Xanadu" written closer to top.
I hope it comes out on 8-track.

How about ?
Is Cheyenne Jackson's name, picture & credit inside the new playbill now or still just an inset ?-J*

As of last weekend, CJ's credits were still in an insert to the Playbill, and I don't think the show's official web site even lists him in the cast. I think someone posted before (and I believe correctly) that, technically, CJ is an understudy. Weird considering that he opened the show and got great reviews in the process...
Or maybe he's a standby. Not sure if I'm getting my theatrical jargon right here...
jsg03jd- Thanks
Can't wait to see it this weekend ! I will definetley scan the new playbill and post it...-j*
Michael Musto from the Village Voice published a gossip piece a few weeks back about the cast recording. I'm not sure how or if this was all sorted out.
