Hey guys! I'm in Dublin, Ireland now. I just arrived this morning after a really short wonderful flight from London. London was really fun, but every time I go to London, I feel that I am always leaving something out. So, I was reading the MTI upcoming shows listings, and I saw that they had acquired "Xanadu" (also "Spring Awakening" and "13") and that they list 2 productions of "Xanadu" upcoming. One is in Bela Aliancia, São Paulo, Brazil and the other is in Makati, Metropolitan Manila, Philippines. Brazilian one is from 31 December 2009 to 31 December 2010, and when it runs that long on the listing, it normally means sit-down production. The Philippine one is from 1 October 2010 to 30 September 2011, so I guessed that it was another sit-down, but I know the company that's producing this (Atlantis Productions; never seen one of their shows because I've never been to the Philippines or Singapore, but I have seen photos, videos, and heard audios of their "Hairspray," "Avenue Q," "Beauty and the Beast," and "Rent," and they are doing the Philippine premiere of "Spring Awakening") and they do not produce sit-downs. So, I think this is exciting, but I can't find anything on either of these besides on here: http://mtishows.com/show_detail.asp?showid=000347#

So, they announced productions in China, Australia, Philippines, London, and Korea. Korea's been open for a while. Philippines is opening, obviously. Only things we haven't heard about are China, Australia, and London. China will probably be in this new Beijing Musical Mega-Centre and Australia could be part of the next season of Sydney or Melbourne theatre. I have no idea when London will open though. Also, do you think that the Brazilian production will be in Portuguese? Then, "Xanadu" will be up to 3 languages, because Atlantis never does shows in Tagalog. We'd have "Xanadu" in Korean, English, and Portuguese!

XOXO

Who told you London was scrapped? That's the first I've heard of that.

I remember reading that on here awhile ago. But that was a comment made by a one of the posters on here. Oh well, that's what I get for believing what I read on BWW. re: 'Xanadu' in the Philippines and Brazil

Are there currently plans for the show to hit The West End, tourboi?

I guess I just understood what was said wrong. That is good news though if there still are plans to hit The West End. They deserve a stellar show like Xanadu over there. re: 'Xanadu' in the Philippines and Brazil
