I guarantee Nikki had a Tony clause in her contract. All leading and supporting actors do. X amount for a Tony nomination, X amount for a Tony win, meaning, she just got 2 raises.

^that's why we have lottos and rushes. Broadway has always been expensive, it's the nature of the beast. These producers have $15-20, sometimes $70 million dollars to make back, and they want to do it in the shortest time possible. Not to mention, these shows cost $400,000 + a week just to cover the expenses.

SUPPLY AND DEMAND. If you can't afford it, you can't go. Simple as that. OBVIOUSLY people are willing to pay the $175, so to the smart (and lucky) producers of BOM, I say, CONGRATS!

fair park is a horrendous venue, and I don't care for ATTPAC either. Bass Hall in Fort Worth is a far better venue!

To all of you who say "I'd do this, but I dont have $1000," act as a producer! If you have a real passion for this, work as a "producer" and find 10 "investors" to each invest $100, and there you go, there is your $1000... but then again, there will be paperwork involved in that. this is going to be GIANT MESS.

one week of bad numbers does not mean a death sentence for a show... and dont look at percentages, look at avg ticket price and total money in. as long as they are covering the running cost, they are golden. and most of these shows have a reserve built in that will cover a couple low number weeks. I think most shows will hold out until the holidays, then we'll see the usual 1/3 closings...
