I'm surprised that noone has pointed out that Ms. Pinkins will once again face off against a certain green lady when the awards season comes around. I wonder how she'll fare this time.

It's going to be the most exciting lead actress in a musical category in London for a looong time. Tonya vs. Idina vs. Elena Roger (Evita) vs. Jenna Rusell (SITPWG) vs. Julie Atherton (Ave Q)! All of them superb!

In reply to the possibility of the show being filmed at the National, it seems like that would be highly unlikely given the fact that HBO filmed the show during the original Broadway run (they may have also filmed the LA production, but I am not sure) but have not announced any plans to air or release the footage. Maybe they were waiting to bring the show to London before releasing a videotaped performance. Let's just hope this recording doesn't go the same way as the MAME revival...
