Sorry to be a bother and I know that there have been 80 billion questions about Young Frankenstein and/or tickets. But I'm planning a trip to NYC in March (the only time I can sneak away from school) and its mainly to see Young Frankenstein. Do you think it would be wise or silly to go ahead and buy tickets? The thought of paying full price makes my skin crawl, but as much buzz this show seems to be getting, I'd hate to hold out for a discount just to realize that every decent seat is sold out.... so... opinions?

Get your tickets NOW.
The sooner you know you've secured yours seats the easier it is on yourself mentally. I was racking and racking and racking my brain forever, and once I finally secured my purchase (yesterday, actually) I felt all the more better.

ENJOY!

The show is already generating buzz WHILE it's out-of-town. This is a clear indication of what it will do once it arrives on Broadway. A show that generates positive buzz out-of-town turns-out to be the next big show on Broadway. I would get ANY tickets you can right now. Once the show begins previews on Broadway -- the entire 1st year will be sold-out in days.

Previous shows that generated good buzz out-of-town and which turned-out to be enormous Broadway hits:

HAIRSPRAY
THE PRODUCERS
SPAMALOT

You really, really have to think about it like this:

a) It's a Mel Brooks musical.

b) It's a Mel Brooks musical based off of a CLASSIC and beloooooved Mel Brooks movie.

c) With a budget of $20 million to work with (and several clips via press coverage in Seattle), YOU KNOW it's going to be "HUGE" with pyro and monser-set(s) to boot.

d) Once it hits 42nd Street people from ALL OVER will come in DROVES because they'll remember the UBER successes THE PRODUCERS had. No, Nathan and Matthew aren't onstage this time around, but seriously, the cast that YOUNG FRANKENSTEIN has is most definitely, without a shadow of a doubt, PICTURE-PERFECT.

Get your tickets while you still can. This one's going to be a HUGE, BROADWAY SMASH - and deservedly so, IMO.
