You Fav. Original Cast Member of Hairspray...

Who's your favorite original cast member of Hairspray??? Mine would have to be Marissa Jaret Winokur. And I have never even seen Hairspray (though i'm dying to!!!). I would love to meet Marissa Jaret Winokur. Have any of you seen her in "Beautiful Girl" on ABC Family? She's such an inspiring actress! I also like Harvey Fierstein! He's awsome as Edna! i'm interested in hearing you replies and ne stories you have...feel free to e-mail me too!

Besides Kerry Butler, I'll also have to go with Adam Fleming. He was quite adorable when I saw him in the ensemble.

Even though I'm dedicated to Kerry Butler, lol, I have to say that Marissa was my favorite from the show. When Tracy finally makes it on the Corny Collins Show and she starts to break out dancing, I was in complete awe. For someone with her body, she could REALLY move, I loved every minute of it. Plus she was adorable every second of the show!

EXCUSE ME!!! Do you really think that if they didn't think she had any talent that they would pick her to be Tracy??? Think about that! Plus, do you think that you could do better? anyone that gets on stage and performs 8 times a week must have some sort of talent. Just because you don't like her, doesn't mean other people don't! I'd like to see you try and perform as Tracy! (Actually...not really)

my fav obc member of harispray would have to be marissa jaret winokur. and yeah i saw beautiful girl..and oh yeah sexy matt morrison is my fav 2...

Joel Vig... that man makes the funniest comments and never gets recognition for his humor... outside the theatre,they have the new pics and one of the females photos are a little inviting with undies showing and he stated "all we need now is a scratch and sniff pen" and we were both hysterical...

Hmmm I would say Kerry Butler. She took a smaller part and made it really memorable and alive. Marrissa was just plain awfull and Harvey was Harvey.

I saw it twice with the original cast. I think Harvey stole the show. But all of actors were extremely talented. The whole ensemble made the show.

i'm taking the easy way out and saying Holly Howard since i saw her "back in the day" in summer stock in Missouri and followed her ever since. You know by now how i hate heirarchies, but i do love me some Marissa, Jackie Hoffman, Kerry, Harvey, and feel somewhat justified by Joel "Overnight Sensations Don't Exist" Vig. He is the model of stick to it and finally get your break. They all make my bouffant survive the strongest Texas tailwind.
Will: They don't give out awards for helping people be gay... unless you count the Tonys. "I guarantee that we'll have tough times.
