Posted: 1/4/09 at 7:57pmWhile waiting after the show today at the stage door, there were cones set up that read "No Parking" and they continued on to say that YF will be filmed Jan 5-Jan 9.. Does anyone know if they are actually taping it and will it be released?? Thanks

Thank you!

Posted: 1/4/09 at 8:12pmMaybe it really is being taped & Brooks has some sort of maniacal idea to sell them @ Target to recoup his losses.

Posted: 1/4/09 at 8:16pmHilarious. Mel tried to suck $450 from everyone & now he'll settle for $14.95.

"Leave Walt Disney Theatricals new sparkling production of The Little Mermaid on Broadway alone!!!"

is the current cast even WORTH taping??
the original cast.. that's a different story, but is this cast even that great?
#11re: Young Frankenstein Taping??
Posted: 1/4/09 at 8:18pmMaybe it will be the OBC, minus Sutton of course.

Posted: 1/4/09 at 8:19pmMaybe the IRS wants visual proof before Mel Brooks is able to write this show off on his taxes.

It WAS already taped for the Lincoln Center archives... Hmm...
I hope that they will be releasing it. I know that it wasn't the best show, but when I went, I thoroughly enjoyed it and laughed hard.
(I was thinking about this being filmed when they announced it's closing. I honestly thought to myself that it hadent been made into a movie-musical [thank God], but Mel as well release it to preserve this monster-of-a-show.)

I think Brooks will tape it, put it in a movie theater & have premium seating for $ 50 (including popcorn & a soda of course).
He will get premium seating to work if it kills him.

Posted: 1/4/09 at 9:28pmOr perhaps, to save money, the "Tour" will actually be a giant screen with the recorded Broadway show projected onto it. For the first time ever, it will be a LEGIT "Broadway" tour!
