Jennifer Simard would be perfect for this. Additionally, it is her favorite film.
She has the gorgeous voice and the comic skills to make it a success.
It is marvelous. It is one of my favorite films of all time.
Now, if only Mel Brooks could do a 2000 YEAR old man short.
LOL!

"...Matthew Broderick as Dr. Fronkensteen..."
Ugh.

Posted: 4/10/06 at 12:22pmIs it necessary for Matthew and Nathan to be attached to everything together? A one-time successful duo does not guarantee a comic success, just a box office sell-out. I'm so tired of having to hear their names spoken together everytime I hear mention of either.

Posted: 4/10/06 at 12:41pmI have to agree. I would much rather have seen new faces attached to this project. As much as I love them, it is time, I believe, for new blood in a Brooks production

Posted: 4/10/06 at 1:46pmI'm quite serious about it. I also remember reading that Roger Bart is workshopping Igor. Remember, of course, that these are just workshop/reading performers. Roger is attached to a TV pilot, Nathan is attached to Butley and Catch Me If You Can (as far as I know), and Matthew has his own play coming up (the title escapes me).

"Jan Maxwell should be Frau Blaucher"
In another thread I suggested Dana Ivey. She's a hoot.

So I'm guessing the ticket prices for this are already being set in the one's first born child range?
I've got a cat...do you think they'd settle for a cat?
Sadly, I already gave my soul to Wicked...

God ... i'd love to see Chenoweth in this.
But its gonna suck and be impossible to get tickets for if broderick and lane are in it.

I have heard many rumblings that Lane and Broderick will not be working together again.
And I would HATE Kristin Chenoweth as Elizabeth. Madeline Kahn's memory must not be stained in any way.
