Interestingly, wen I checked. Group tickets were not on sale for the NYC run either.

The $450.00 and $350.00 tickets relate to only 200 seats out of the 1820 seats available.

The majority of the tickets will be at the standard Broadway show ticket prices.

As to why the tickets are so expsensive? It costs millions to put on a show, and a production as big as YF is going to be in terms of sets, cast, crew, orchechtra etc all to the cost. It's a huge risk to put on show, dispite all the hype it may get. The investors want to make sure that the recoups it's intital investment in a timely manner. Also, it's rare when every performance is sold out. So the tickets are priced for the show to meet overhead and costs with the house at about 70% capacity.

Also, those $450.00 and $350.00 seats are making the $25.00 orchestra seats possible.
