What ever happened to Kristin being in this? And does this mean the PQ may be closing?
Missy - No, PQ is not closing. That is only what they want you to think and what they are very shamelessly and publically hoping for. The only thing that has been confirmed is that they WANT the Hilton.
The likely stars of Young Frankenstein are Tony Award winners Shuler Hensley (in the role of the monster, played by Peter Boyle in the film) and Sutton Foster (Inga, the Teri Garr role), along with the former "Will & Grace" star Megan Mullally (Elizabeth, the Madeline Kahn role).
Frankenstein is aiming for a Halloween opening on Broadway. A theatre has not been announced, although the likely suspects are the St. James Theatre, The Producers' long-time home, or The Hilton Theatre, where The Pirate Queen recently opened to mixed reviews.
*YAWN* I hope they wait until they actually have something new and definite to say before anything else is written.
"PQ is closing."
No kidding? Have you confirmed this information with Billy the Kid?
^^ source?
I believe the source is Mel Brook's dreams.
minor threadjack... Tech: LOVE the avitar! :) I should put a pic of my parrot (Benjamin Coffin the Bird) in one.
I just got the weekly email from the Paramount in Seattle and they have the poster artwork for the show:

Weird--I had a totally random dream the other night that Sutton Foster was hanging out in this place with all this mountainous scenery (I never dream about celebrities/actors!). But then, she was also pregnant, so...
slightly reminicent of Producers artwork...
^that's what I thought too

That artwork has got to be one of the worst designs I've ever seen in my life. I like the "IT'S ALIVE" one better, even the picture on the first billboard.
I wonder if they did the whole looking like the Producers poster on purpose?
You think?
Maybe to draw some interest from the crowd of people that enjoyed that show...
I dunno, I'm just thinking out loud
The art work might be used only to advance sell the show to groups and so forth, this might not be the final poster design.

Considering that's Gene Wilder and Peter Boyle, I doubt that's the artwork.
