Your Dream Miscasting

After having the "honor" of seeing the legendary broadway performer Melanie Griffin, I was wondering whom else we might cast in an inappropriate role.

I vote for Sade as Mamma Rose...or Bob Dyllan as Jean ValJean...or Celiene as Epinnone.

My...the list is endless. Barry and Fran...are you listeing?

I would completely recast hairspray... let's see

Tracy - Callista Flockhart
Penny - Audra McDonald
Link - Nathan Lane
Edna - Sarah Jessica Parker
Motormouth - Coco Peru
Wilbur - James Earl Jones

Yeeah, that would be in one word *AMAZING*!

BatBoi,
you know just as well as I do that Calista is about 100 lbs too heavy to play Tracy. I mean geez, she might develop an eating disorder if she has to slim down that much.

Well, I know it would be a stretch for her! But maybe if she REALLY concentrates on eating right! Maybe she could get that Chef that Oprah had? I believe anyone can acheive their dreams!

I looked up some info on who Calista Flockhart uses as a chef and dietician. I found their names -- a Mr. Phing Eren Throte and a Mrs. Toy Letbole.

Bernadette Peters as Elphaba in Wicked. Imagine- the red, curly hair with the green skin, and her trying to scream her head off in "Defying Gravity" or "The Wizard and I". *shudders* I would cry. Not that I don't love Bernadette but her in that role is kinda funny.
Melanie Griffith as Peter Pan and in Gypsy? How about as Louise doing "Let Me Entertain You"? Even Antonio won't get aroused.

re: re: Your Dream Miscasting

Bernadette as Elphaba would be a riot. She'd have to wear a wig.
