melissa errico fan- I would consider The Apple Tree a flop. It came right after the huge success of Fiddler, ran for 18 months, true, but did not recoup its investment, nor gain much attention from theatregoers that season, as it opened the same year as Cabaret. And reviews for the show were mixed to negative, hailing Barbara Harris and the first act, but saying the show falls apart from there. But I love it: and i can't wait for Encores!

Wow, SIDE SHOW wins the popularity award. :)
I'm a flop queen... I tend to gravitate toward them. (Take heed, my friends... should you be in a new project and I become immediately obsessed with it, start looking for a new job...)
I'd say Side Show, Parade, Merrily We Roll Along, and Caroline or Change top my list.

I would have to say "You're A Good Man Charlie Brown" (if that's a flop, I thought it played for 5 months), and "Steel Pier".
Well, bwaybaby891, though the revival lasted only a few months, the original lasted for at least 3 years. However the original was off-broadway,and this thread says BROADWAY, so i'm not sure what you'd call YAGMCB.
Parade was not a flop. it was a limited engegement that never moved to an actual Broadway house. Just because it never moved does not make it a flop.
A flop is actually a show that never makes even half of what they put into it before closing.
Taboo was a flop.
Carrie was a flop.
State Fair was a flop.
Steel Pier was a flop.
Caroline or Change was not a flop - especially since it moved from Off-Broadway to a Broadway house.
Busker Alley was a flop.
Annie Two was a flop.
Dracula - flop.
The Life was not a flop. It ran approx. two years.
