In my opinion these shows were wonderful and should have run for years: The Last Five Years Listen To My Heart- The Songs of David Friedman Caroline Or Change
Dracula--and I don't think I would count 'Jane Eyre' as a flop either. It ran for a respectable length of time, and probably would have run longer had 9/11 not happened. It was critically loved and did well Tony-nomination wise.
Did they release the recording for "The Goodbye Girl"? I was in the little merchandise shop next to the Mariott Marquis the other day and they had the sheet music to it. I've been trying to hear the songs for awhile, but I never found a CD.
Yes, there is a recording of GOODBYE GIRL. I enjoyed that, perhaps only because it brought together Martin Short and Bernadette Peters. I also loved SIDE SHOW.
Have I ever shown you my Shattered Dreams box? It's in my Disappointment Closet. - Marge Simpson
I was a fan of this show before I saw it and it took four years for me to see it. When I went there, I was sitting in the balcony on the right side of the theater awestruck. I went to the stage door to meet the cast....then went again the next night because one of the actors was nice enough to take backstage photos for me....and then one of the other actors comped another set of tickets for me, this time in the 8th Row Center.
