And anyways, Eden Espinosa was actually auditioning for Eponine/ Cosette before offered the part of Fantine in the revival.

Yah, I was actually thinking of putting him as Javert, but I thought it would be interesting to see his Valjean. Plus, Audra McDonald would be more likely to accept him as her father due to race.

I've seen Les Miz 3 times, I know he isn't her real father, but she accpets that he untill she reads his letter during the last scene. If he was a different race, how would she believe that they are related? The show would end in the middle of the first act when she realizes that he could not possibly be her father.
