Sweeney Todd and Caroline or Change are tied for my favorite. My "odd" favorites would probably be "The Adding Machine" and "Songs for a New World".

I've not only heard of BOY MEETS BOY, Sean, we played a song from it at our (gay) wedding. A close friend, Joanna Seaton, was in the New York cast (though I'm not sure she was in it on opening night).

Confining myself to "odd" choices, does ROAR OF THE GREASEPAINT count? Although it spawned several pop hits, it only ran for about six months on Broadway and, to my knowledge, has never enjoyed a major revival.

My favorite is Merrily, I guess you can say that's odd considering it is a big flop, and yet, I think it's genius

I've gotten a few double takes at my favorite musical being SUNDAY IN THE PARK WITH GEORGE. "The show about the painting?"

I also really enjoy SONGS FOR A NEW WORLD, BARE: A POP OPERA, THE SECRET GARDEN, COMPANY, and TOMMY.

We're talking about musicals. Who's to say what's odd? =P

Thanks, Sean. BOY MEETS BOY was really quite daring in its day.
