Don't you think Ef's a bit too light on his feet for Birdie?

In what? where? I think Conrad Birdie is way too small a part for him at this stage- I'd love to see him try the DiCaprio role in Catch Me If You Can....Marc?

Zac Efron doesn't look old enough to be drafted.
I hate that I know this, but...He'll be 20 on Oct 18!

Zac as Hugo Peabody.
Conrad has to be...well, f**kable, and Zac is more the cuddly type.

I think he'd be really great as the Leo role in Catch Me if You Can, Borle is too old. That's the perfect role for Zac!
I agree with JoeK, Birdie would be too small of a role for him now.
I'd love to see him in Catch Me. I'm not sure what the role demands vocally- but he is the perfect age and look for it.
I am not sure if he is trained for something like 8 shows a week. But my friend says he is a great stage actor.

They can always add more screentime to Birdie if neccessary. Composers write new songs for movie musicals all the time! I can actually see it. If he didn't do it, I doubt it would be for lack of stage time, rather he didn't like the material.

Is that a kabbalah string?
no, he and Vanessa Hudgens wear them.
he has said he will take it off when it falls off.
I dunno, I don't see the need to remake Bye Bye Birde.
Or Footloose for that matter.
