a show you have never seen that everyone else has?

I am home listening to A Chorus Line tonight because I bought the cd on eBay for $1.00. I have never seen the show though and I am wondering what other shows are out there that everyone has seen except you. I have never seen a production of Gypsy either. The shame! Not even a really bad community theater production of it. Another one for me is Phantom of the Opera, but I am fine with that.
Your thoughts?

I have never seen CATS, but I am going to see it on tour in January! It is interesting though, many of you have said that you have never seen Phantom Of The Opera, yet in many of the other posts you felt that you actaully had the right to criticize the show....Go see it before you criticize it!

I have not seen HAIRSPRAY. I have to admit from what I've heard of the music I'm not exactly inspired to see it - but I will give it a try next time I am in New York City. Similarly with AVENUE Q - I had not been attracted to it, but all the positive posts I've read give me cause to think I may have missed something special. MILLIE I have also not seen. I might get to see it on my next visit to London or - if it is confirmed that Susan Egan is taking over the lead - I may wait till I get to NYC as I think she is fantastic.
One show I have not seen but would LOVE to see sometime is TICK TICK BOOM - I have the CD and the score is absolutely wonderful.

Bulldog:
How is it that you have the first acts of all these shows but not the second acts? Did you walk out of those productions?
#19re: a show you have never seen that everyone else has?
Posted: 12/23/03 at 4:43amI've never seen Cats, Mamma Mia, Gypsy, or The King And I (among others). Seeing a regional production of the latter next year, though.

I have never, nor do I have the desire to ever, see:
Cats
Phantom of the Opera
Les Mis
The one show I really regret never having seen was The Last Five Years. I was even in NYC seeing shows when that was playing and my friends and I just never got around to seeing it ![]()

Never seen 'Carousel' or 'The Sound of Music' onstage. Not even high school productions.
Nor will I ever see them.

Avenue Q. Not on TKTS, and from hearing the score, I can't get excited enough to spend the bigger bucks. It's the first b'way show that seemed truly pitched toward another generation (yet I didn't feel that way at all about RENT, or even TABOO.) Also, any show with puppets automatically moves to the bottom of my list.
But, like a few others, it will be a "January show..." They can't fill the seats then, and I will go.
