Maybe it was this one:
The other one might have been more appropriate, it is much more clearly a disturbed woman who is trying to keep a "smile so white and winning"
I do love Marin's shot.

That's it! It looks like a headshot, whereas Mazzie's billboard looks like a character. I don't know-- maybe Mazzie's interpretation of Diana reflected my own experience with depression better than Ripley's. I certainly admire Ripley's talent and enthusiasm, but she wasn't the best one I've seen in that part.

Posted: 7/29/12 at 6:59pmI've said this before but...It was interesting there was a talk-back after a performance on tour (though Pearl was on for this one) and an audience member suggested there wasn't much 'depression' in the show. The response IIRC was that the show might make artistic liberties because mania is more interesting. I definitely feel they wouldn't have thought this if they saw Mazzie, her crying was so frequent, perhaps even excessive :P. (Not that I am suggesting a character needs to be crying for 2.5 hours to make it clear they are depressed...see 'NIGHT MOTHER)..
