hey, if they turned a spelling bee into a hit musical, why not this?! they could have these girls come on and have them do ridiculous photo shoots. the judges could make the show really funny, if done right

anyone else think this is a good/or atleast decent idea?

I don't agree or disagree with you. But the reason that Spelling Bee works is because people see the anytown USA in the show along with the oddball cast of characters. Most people can't relate with the fact of being a international model nor know much about it.

I kida agree that it cooouuuullldd be funny. Just all depends on how they put it together.

(Martha Graham from a letter to Agnes de Mille) "There is a vitality, a life force, a quickening That is translated through you into action, And because there is only one of you in all time, This expression is unique. If you block it, It will never exist through any other medium And be lost. The world will never have it. It is not your business to determine how good it is, Nor how valuable it is, Nor how it compares with other expressions. It is your business to keep it yours, clearly and directly, To keep the channel open. You do not even have to believe in yourself or your work. You have to keep open and aware Directly to the urges that motivate you. Keep the channel open. No artist is pleased. There is no satisfaction whatever at any time. There is only a queer, divine dissatisfaction, A blessed unrest that keeps us marching And makes us more alive than others."

If you want a spoof of America's Next Top Model, just wait until MadTV or Saturday Night Live make a joke or it, I bet they already have.

Oh come on, we already have Smile, which is enough of a model show, but I really don't think a supermodel musical would really work, for the main reason that logan pointed out.

Some things are better as a tv show but could not work on Broadway. I love the tv show but just don't know we could do it on the stage.

"I'm learning to dig deep down inside and find the truth within myself and put that out. I think what we identify with in popular music more than anything else is when someone just shares a truth that we can relate to. That's what I'm searching for in my music." - Ron Bohmer

"I broke the boundaries. It wasn't cool to be in plays- especially if you were in sports & I was in both." - Ashton Kutcher

Including the show stopping numbers 'God, I'm Really Hungry' (a la A Chorus Line - 'God I'm really hungry / I'm really hungry / How many calories can I eat?' 'Dear God I want that grape / Please let me eat that grape...') and 'Why the Heck are Tyra Banks and Janice Dickinson Rolling Around on the Floor?'

Or after they are told that they need to diet, at the end of act 1 they are taken to a swanky restaurant and told they can have anything they want (of course this is a test to see how many girls fail and eat way too much) and they break into the song "Food, Glorious Food".

Just give the world Love. - S. Wonder
