Hi all!
I did a search but did not turn anything recent up.
what's my chance of getting a student rush ticket for spelling bee if I arrive at 10am (time the box office opens I believe,no?)on a tues.?
also, what other shows offer student rush tickets that are easy to get? and yes, I know about the list on talkin' broadway, that is not what I am asking, I am asking for an individuals personal experience (or knowledge) about how easy it is to obtain student rush tickets at a particular show or shows.

Posted: 7/31/07 at 11:32pmI know RENT has a lotto. For those who've tried to get in lately, how are the lottery chances for RENT looking these days?

Posted: 7/31/07 at 11:36pmRENT had at least 100 people there for lotto on Monday, so I'd say not good.

Posted: 8/1/07 at 1:59pmNow I was wondering about Spring Awakening rush cause I'm going to see it with my sister and some of her friends(I'm the only one out of the 4 who's seen it and they really want to) towards the end of August for a Tuesday, now since it's only one show, do you still need to show up at like 7am or so for it?

I would think so. NYC schools aren't back in session yet, so it'll still be summerish.
And no, based on what I'm hearing if you show up at or after 10, you'll probably be out of luck.

Posted: 8/1/07 at 2:32pmSo as not to start a whole new thread about it, what time would I need to get there to get JERSEY BOYS standing room for a Saturday matinee? Are those tickets difficult to get? I'm going August 25th, and just want to know what time to get there. I know SRO tickets go onsale 2 hours before the show starts, but yeah...thanks :)

Posted: 8/1/07 at 3:54pmHonestly, most student rush are pretty easy to get... you just have to be willing to wait in line for some of them. However, I would like to say that I have heard a lot of people say that you need to go extremely early for SA, even if there are a lot. Legally Blonde we went at 8:00 in the morning and we got tickets. There were definitely more people in line than there were tickets too. I can't guarantee anything, but the older *some* shows get, the easier to rushes become. I would not recommend getting there at 10 though, if you can spare it... go 30 minutes earlier for even Bee.

Posted: 8/2/07 at 10:14amthanks, will do. It's just that I haven't had to wait in line AT ALL for any student rush tix (these being: the producers, company, grey gardens, and journey's end. Heck, for Company, I showed up ten minutes before Curtain and still got tix.), so I thought I might ask before trying for bee, I don't mind the wait, but I do mind going 1/2 hr early just to find out that there was absolutely no reason to go that early. At least this way, if no one else shows up by ten o'clock, I can blame it on you, not my own stupidity.

Posted: 8/7/07 at 4:24pmDoes Spelling Bee still hold a lottery, as well? The official site lists both, but I thought I had heard that they had done away with the lottery.
