Rumor says ALLEGIANCE will record in December, for (they hope) January release.

Yes, ON YOUR FEET! will indeed be getting an Original Broadway Cast Recording. It will be produced (appropriately) by Emilio Estefan. No release or recording date yet announced.

A close friend is in the show. The entire cast has known the show was getting a cast recording immediately after the show opened in Chicago.

I truely hope your information is correct. I was there this weekend and asked the merchandise desk for the OBR. She replied that there were no plans to record it. I was shocked and would have bought 2 copies on the spot. FYI, School of Rock ( which is only in early previews) is already selling the OBR CD, though it is not available in full on iTunes.
