I talked to the original producer (who holds/guards the rights) about Jerry a couple months ago... they're trying to raise regional interest across the US. So far, Bailiwick Rep and Playhouse on the Square in Memphis, Tennessee have the first productions. I believe others are in the works. The *plan* is to get enough attention on the show, and they're still aiming for Broadway. I was conversing with the producer and the authors about getting the rights to produce it Off-Broadway (which I think a lot of people think might suit the piece better)... but because they're still considering a huge NY premiere as a possibility, my plans were eventually scrapped. If it's happening, I'd say expect it in the next year. Or maybe not. It's got a lot going against it. I was told that if there isn't a Broadway anouncement within the year, I should reconnect with those crazy Brits about licensing their wonderful, blaspheming show. So hopefully *someone* will do it soon. Whether On, Off, or Off-Off.... cross your fingers.
