Well you never know. They could be out any day. If one is out most people may exchange their tickets because everyone is above the title.
James Gandolfini was out cause of a bad cough or something and they canceled the performance for the day. This was a month or two ago
But then what did they do about exchanging peoples tickets? Isn't the entire run sold out?
No... The entire run is not sold out whatsoever. I found tickets for 22 people for June 23rd so I don't hink the entire run is sold out especially with the extension from september to november
We almost got tickets last week, but Jeff Daniels was out, so we decided to hold off.
Gandolfini was out within the first two weeks of previews, at that point they probably had plenty of tickets throughout the run to accommodate people.
This is a strange question. If someone is sick, they may be out and the theater would not announce it in advance unless it was a long standing illness or something where they knew the actor had to be out for 5-7 days (throat or some other injury that required rest).
Vacations MAY be announced and you might get this info at the box office but not always. If the actor's name is above the title, you can get a refund or try to get an exchange. Theater is live..and therefore, unpredictable when it comes to family emergencies, illnes etc. It is a crap shoot. That is why they have understudies. Sorry, no one can really provide you with an exact answer.
