Okay, bunger, I didn't say anything was wrong with the mad libs. I said I was excited because I figured Bebe would be doing a mad lib of All that Jazz when they asked for a suggestion of a musical genre. And I obviously didn't go for the power rangers, I didn't even watch it growing up. I just saw a joke they could have made off the bat, and they took it in a different direction which was funny enough. But I even agreed with you as to most of the suggestions being over-specific, and none of them were mine. If you'd like me not to try and add in details that weren't mentioned yet for those who couldn't seen the show, however, you've gotten your message across.
For the rest of you, try to take advantage of the goldstar offer, you'll enjoy it!

"I thought that that was just going to be a like one shot deal for me, you know, but they kept talking about it like, 'when we do the production, when we do the production', and I was like, 'yes, yes, when you do the production, cool, I will come and see it'". - John Gallagher Jr. on SA

Lisa Jolley is awesome- my fav though is Lisa along with Jenn Colella, so hysterical when those two are together! Not that everyone else isn't great, they totally are, but the combo of those two together makes me laugh just thinking about it.
DQ is on NY1 today- video online already:

I saw Jenn Colella on Saturday, never having seen her on any stage before. She's fabulous! And HOT.

Rath- have you seen the old DQ stuff on youtube, from the Joe's Pub days? If not, you should check out "Helen Keller's a Whiner: The Musical"- I feel like I do nothing but plug this one old NY2 clip, but it's Jenn Colella as Helen Keller, and Lisa Jolley as Anne Sullivan, and it is one of my most favorite NY2 bits ever- I can still laugh just as hard as I did when I actually saw it down at Joe's the night they did it.

Jen Colella needs to do my Broadway, in my opinion. She is great and has a fantastic voice. I really want to see this show, but I want to see when/if Kelli O'Hara is in it.

I had no idea that it was slated to close, or even that it was a limited engagement. That's so upsetting. I can't go at all this weekend, so I guess I'll have to pull it out Monday and go then.
Any chance it'll return to Joe's Pub?

Nooo! Don't close. Hopefully it will go back to Joe's Pub and just have it as a monthly engagement.

Did anyone go last night? I'd love to hear about Gavin.
"If there was a Mount Rushmore for Broadway scores, "West Side Story" would be front and center. It snaps, it crackles it pops! It surges with a roar, its energy and sheer life undiminished by the years" - NYPost reviewer Elisabeth Vincentelli

Gavin did the madlibs to chim chim cheree. Richard Kind did celeb press conference, he was Condi Rice in Drowsy Chaperone. He was definitely hamming it up a lot when he first got up there. Jason Kravitz does a fabulous Richard Kind impression, which was used a couple times during the night. NY2 skits included "I love the 80s", "Holy Cornucopia", and "Showgirls"- Jen Cody and Jeff Hiller win the prize for funnieset and most inappropiate skit of the night. Replay took place at a gym and was done in soap opera, hip hop, and mime styles. We got to see Phantom of the Opera in 60-30-10. Jason K also played Somewhere Over the Rainbow on a saw for his special skill. Opening skit was the SAC paid advertisement. Trevor Braun did Stars of Tomorrow. Eulogy was Sherlock Holmes. Of course overactors at the end.
The show was very funny overall, and it's nice to see everyone in such high spirits and having great energy up there still.

Man, that girl who won Battle of the Bill by guessing Richard Kind's impression of Peter Lorre was amazing! :)
I loved some of the Madlibs.... "When I flex vaginas with you... oh blow me an Elvis, and he's lucky too!"
