Hi,
I am looking for live material from broadway and off broadway shows. Is there any material?

Yes! Broadway's lost treasures 1 & 2 are good places to start. There is also a thread that ran yesterday about what musicals are available on DVD, very useful info.

I enjoyed PBS's "Broadway: The American Musical." You can buy it online. The CD collection is a great mix of songs from shows old and new.
The DVD is also very good, but doesn't show as much "live" footage as I would generally have hoped for. I'm a fan of more modern musicals (1950s on) so I enjoyed that footage more than the older stuff, but it's a good history lesson. So many shows are included which I liked. if I remeber correctly, there is some good footage of Jerry Orbach performing as Billy Flynn, a great segment on Bob Fosse, and a heartwrenching spot on Jonathan Larson - including footage of him working his last shift in the diner around the RENT development timeframe.
The DVD also has some good bonus material including Idina and Cheno rehearsing "For Good" and performing it on stage, and a live Jonathan Larson performance of "Sunday" from Tick Tick Boom.
I enjoyed this series. Others may disagree.

I really enjoyed the dvd of BROADWAY:The American Musical....
I loved the latter stuff and we can all discuss what was and was not showed (like i was upset there wasn't ANYTHING about RAGTIME but anywho~~) But is a great history lesson.
I was disappointed that Evita was not shown.
But overall, I really enjoyed the DVD's.
Broadway: The American Musical is the best thing you could get.
Cool. I ordered Broadway: The American Musical from my store last week and am glad to hear good things about it.
