try the broadway show league website....
opening day was GREAT today! I enjoyed taking in a few games and running into a few friends and a couple of new faces too! Poor Jeff Goldblum being followed by the papparazzi... oy.... NO ONE has more spirit that the Michelle "meow" Kittrell and Two N Jenn Gambatese duo when it comes to team morale!!!
by the way - Chris Sieber.. nicest man EVER!

Opening Day was great! At 11:30 I saw the All Shook Up vs. Hairspray game. Since we were sitting
on the ASU side my friend and I were rooting for them. Both teams had their megaphones except
Michelle Kitrell's was a smaller one (its what Jenn Gambatese called the "understudy" megaphone).
Both teams showed excellent energy and I was surprised at the turn out of cast members on the teams
especially ASU (all three Justin's played!).
The ceremony was fun. All the special guests threw the opening pitch at the same time.
Afterwards I went to the Good Vibrations vs. Steel/Glass, which was also a great game!

Definitely an "only in NY" event. The 1:00PM official opening ceremonies drew several people who didn't necessarily hang around to actually play, including Gordon Clapp, Tom Wopat, Jeff Goldblum, Sara Raimirez and Christian Slater among others.
If you have a chance, stop by some Thursday - all 5 fields are in use, with games scheduled for 11:30am, 1:30pm and 3:30pm. (The late round usually has teams fielded by some of the unions and production offices rather than the actual shows). Complete schedules for the day are posted on the cage behind home plate at each of the fields.

i went! Hairspray kicked Phantom's butt and the mercy law ended the game. Then I watched Beauty & The Beast kill Rent. It was a fun day at the fields.
