Posted: 1/13/10 at 10:29pmIt was delightful! The score is now one of my favorites, and the singing was superb, especially from Baldwin, whose voice was ethereal! See it NOW if you haven't and are a lover of old-fashioned musiicals!

Nope, tonight (1/13).
The audience seemed full and everyone loved the show!

Posted: 1/13/10 at 11:55pmGlad you loved it. I really enjoyed myself, as well. What a wonderful score, sung by some beautiful voices. Let's hope we hear from Baldwin VERY soon.

About time for you to go see this!
The theatre was totally full?
Wow. Finally the show is getting crowded.
Although when I saw this, it was always very busy, but never full.

Posted: 1/14/10 at 12:19amI couldn't tell if it was totally full, but I only spotted 2 or 3 empty seats in the orchestra. I didn't see the mezz, though.

bway - where were you sitting?? Saw it in November and also last night, 1/13, too.
Orchestra was full. Mezz was probably 85% full.
Let me just say.... AMAZING!!! I LOVE THIS REVIVAL SO MUCH. I'm honestly saddened that it is closing. I still can't believe it.
Baldwin is an absolute gem; she could sing me to sleep & sing to me on my deathbed. God, what a gorgeous sound.

This show is true a gem.
Kate is perfect for the role of Sharon.
I'm also saddened to see this show go, but I got to see it twice, debating if I should come back for a last time...
Jim, Cheyenne, Terri, and the entire cast is delightful.

I was in row F of the orchestra, at the very end of house left. It sounds like the view would be terrible, but the sightlines were great! If you saw a short guy with a gigantic bookbag, that was me.
Yeah, I've been obsessed with her voice since I watched her sing Glocca Morra at the Sirius broadcast on Youtube, but I was totally NOT prepared for what I heard live. Seriously one of the top five best vocal performances I've ever seen/heard on the Broadway stage!

Muscle - Absolutely! So effing good.
Bwaylv - Can't recall seeing you but who knows? Yeah, Kate sounds even MORE amazing live. It is quickly becoming an obsession.
This show is a true 'throwback' to the Golden Age (or close enough, at least) and leaves you with a warm & fuzzy feeling. It really is wonderful. Good luck to all involved with Finian's... wish I could be there on closing night!

Posted: 1/14/10 at 1:26amI was there last night (1/12) and the house was very full too! I agree about Kate's voice... it's so unique. I really can't think of one other person that sounds like her.

Totally agree about everything said. Completely fell in love with this production/show from the moment it started. Gorgeous score. Gorgeous voices. Gorgeous everything. Sad to see it go but SO glad it got a cast recording.
And regarding Kate, LOVE her voice. Her solo cd is such a delight. Hopefully we see her more often, now.
