I understand your criticisms, and I actually agree to a certain extent. I know every time I review a show on there I always have to stop and think how I'm going to limit my comments. However, I think it's very deliberate, and geared toward the readers more than the reviewers. I think their reasoning is that they want people to be able to take quick glimpses at people's reactions to the show, and to be able to tell if the show's style and content matches with their own criteria. Hence, "see it if..." "don't see it if...". They don't WANT people to have to sift through hundreds of verbose analyses of the every aspect of every show.

Then why not just use THIS forum ..  a place designed for people to talk about theater?
