Reading that the current Predident of the Church Thomas Monson has died.

He'd been president of the LDS Church since 2008. The only things grounding BoM in a certain place and time are that and the iPhone reference (the Star Wars/Star Trek/LoTR stuff can safely span 40 years of pop culture references), so it's safe to say they don't have to change anything if you accept that the show takes place in the overlap where Elder Thomas would talk about getting in line for an iPhone and when Monson was president.

Here's to hoping that the new president of the church gets a vision from God that it's okay to be gay.
