hey
i'm just wondering where are the best places in NYC to get soundtracks, shirts, old playbills...i've only been to NYC once before, and am going in april. where should i go to get the biggest bang for my buck?
also any suggestions of healthy/vegetarian/decently priced cafes, restraunts, etc??

Posted: 2/5/06 at 7:29pmI'm pretty sure that there's not one place to get broadway products for very cheap. I believe on 44th street, across from Phantom, there is a shop with all broadway merchandise, but it is far from being cheap.

Posted: 2/5/06 at 7:33pmI don't know of anywhere to get cheap t-shirts, souvenir programs, etc, but you can get decently-priced window cards (those cardboard posters) at Triton Galleries. It's on 45th, between 8th and 9th (I think... it's on the same block as the Hirschfield). Your best bet for Playbills is probably eBay.

I know that a store in the Marriot Hotel in Times Square, next to the Marriot MArquis theatre called "Broadway New York" has posters...that is where i buy all of mine. They also have a website which branches off of broadway.com
