yesterday i saw chicago on tour and i had a couple of questions about it, for anyone whose seen this or the show
-on the tour, the orchestras on stage and they interact with the cast, and some have lines, is it like this in? the broadway show
-from where i was sitter(very far away), michelle dejean(roxie)looked a ton like debra messing, anyone else think so?
that's about all for now, i'll probably have more later
-on the tour, the orchestras on stage and they interact with the cast, and some have lines, is it like this in? the broadway show
yes.
when I saw it (before it switched theaters), yes, the orchestra was onstage in the broadway production & i loved it!
...i don't know anything about the actors on tour
thanks!
You saw the show the same way it is on Broadway.
The actors interact with the conductor a lot.
I saw the tour yesterday, too!
And yes, I thought she looked like Debra Messing!

What exactly do they say? Is it in the actually original script like that?
It was not in the original script.

The show was changed and obviously parred down from the original script. Please remember that this was staged as a concert for Encores. Yes, the orchestra has always been onstage (in the revival).... no I've never thought Michelle looked like Debra Messing, but how did you like her. DeJean is a sweetheart and one hell of a talent.
How about Terra MacLeod as Velma?
Who was your Mama? I'm drawing a blank at the moment. Carol Woods, maybe? I really can't remember.
And yes, the cast always interacts with the orchestra as well as the audience. I've always said the closer you are for Chicago, the better, and that's why.
Well that and you'll probably get a rose at the end
