And yet another uncalled for comment from KMF!

tabo:wicked- I doubt The Producers will close anytime soon. Its doing pretty well and it has set box office records in the past, so I give it around 7 or 8 more years; maybe more.

"The Producers"??? You must be joking. It's the 5th highest grossing show on Broadway right now, still doing over 90% weekly attendance with weekly grosses in the $700 - 800K range (that's a HUGE weekly profit). And they're doing it with no stars and no discount ticket offers, 1400 performances into the run.

I'd give it another 5 years, minimum (especially considering the bump it's likely to get when the movie comes out late next year).

Sadly I think WT will close w/o Donna.
Things don't look so good for Dracula (too bad I love the
Belasco!)
Also I think Bombay Dreams will also close (for me no great
loss)

Dracula should stand the test of time Halloween will help sales and you can't judge because we are entering the hardest month for musicals.

WT I think is on it's last limb, I think Phantom will be there during Christmas, but I think it is close to its final bow.

I second My Fair Lady on the subject of POTO. It is doing good, and with the movie to come out in December, it will most likely help the ticket sales. Its not going anywhere anytime soon.

And just out of curiousity, Margo, you said that "Producers" is the 5th highest grossing show on Broadway right now. What are the others?

1. Wicked ($1.2 million)
2. The Lion King ($1.16 million)
3. The Boy From Oz ($1.06 million)
4. Mamma Mia! ($803K)
5. The Producers ($712K)

Dracula (might make it a few months past, im not sure)
Movin Out (I think it will be almost dead by next spring)
Golda's Balcony

shows that will run at least 3-5 more years:

The Producers (probably another 3)
Avenue Q (probably another 2)
Wicked (I have no idea, but long)
Hairspray (Again I dont know, depends on the movie)

Golda's Balcony is scheduled to close here January 2nd and re-open in LA in February.
