constantine from Rent tour was on IDOL tonight

I don't know if anyone's interested... but I saw RENT last year on tour when it came to pittsburgh.. and the dude who played Roger, his name was Constantine something.. he's in a band. Anyway, on American Idol tonight i recognized him... he left his band for the audition and he made it to finals tonight... Simon was the only one who said no... He sang "Cryin" by Aerosmith. I thought it was kinda funny to see him. I really did not like him as Roger though when I saw him, but he was very nice.

i saw him in the tour 2 and i saw the name and i was like what? and i went and got my program and i met some people from the tour and he was one of them so i was like ha cool

He's not. He was on the tour of Rent which is non-Equity.

lol i really thought he ruined the show when i saw it. he has a good voice it just didn't sound right to me... i should have went to the hard rock cafe to hear his band though lol

i thought idol was about finding nobodys who need their big break. i'd say a broadway tour is something.. even if it was non-equity, they still advertised it as the broadway series.

OMG. That was Constantine from the RENT tour. I HATED him as Roger. He completely ruined that part for me (at that moment. I have Adam Pascal to bring it back to me). When I saw him I was like, "Man, he looks familiar." WOW!

Well, every time he ended a sentence he would make this sorta GRUNT noise. It was horrible. I thought he made Roger some kind of stuck up dude that wanted Mimi for sex. During intermission almost EVERYONE I overheard talking said something bad about him.

Actually, as wretched as I thought his band footage was, he was my favorite out of everyone they showed tonight. It's something different - everyone else was a dime-a-dozen Usher/Janet wanna-be, and I'm sick of it. We need more raw-sounding people, not another Ruben Studdard.
