Hi to anyone reading!! I am looking for some contemporary (2000s-2010s) comedy songs that I can take with me to college auditions! Nothing too high, definitely in the alto-mezzo range. I can pull off songs like Getting Married from Company, so fast pace is no problem for me. It’s important that the songs be recent and comedic since I already have a contemporary ballad picked out. Leave me some suggestions and I will check them out! Thank you!!

A few that came to mind:
"See What I Wanna See" (from See What I Wanna See)
"Someday" (from Wedding Singer)
"Alto's Lament" (from I Love You, You're Perfect, Now Change)
"Show Off" (from Drowsy Chaperone--although I'm not sure how overdone this is right now, so maybe be careful on that one (it definitely was very overdone for a while, but it may have been long enough now that you can use it again))
But just wondering, are your schools specifically asking for two contemporary pieces? If not, it may not be a bad idea to look at some more classic comedic songs as well since you already have a contemporary ballad. Typically speaking, most schools want contrasting pieces, so in the same way they want one ballad and one up-tempo, they often like one classic and one contemporary piece as well. But of course if they're specifically asking for two contemporary ones that's different--just something to consider if they didn't specify.
