Posted: 6/7/05 at 11:21amJay is very very slow in getting things out. Honestly, I wouldn't hold your breathe. I'd say, the Fall is likely.

Posted: 6/7/05 at 10:21pmThanks for the info Razz77! I really was prepared to get the cd(s) for Christmas so I'm glad to hear it's expected earlier than that. Still so long to wait though...but I'm sure it'll be well worth it.

"Fall" is what has been said. I doubt they are rushing to get it out.
Did you see the show? In my opinion, you aren't missing much. The opening number is great, along with Dessa's Act I finale, but the rest is mediocre to lame.

Posted: 7/16/05 at 11:20pmsound? well you know how ahrens and flaherty immerse themselves in whatever culture they are writing about? it has a very african feel... there are some spiritual like numbers. some things that could be considered tribal. the most "modern"/typical theatre song is "at the glen" written for rachel york's character, ruth...

Posted: 7/17/05 at 12:16amThere were some lovely numbers. An exciting opening number (many don't agree that it actually worked well but it was very catchy and in the tradition of the A&F shows, told you what to expect from the evening), and a gorgeous Act 1 closing, "Twelve Children." We certainly don't need the entire show on record, but whatever comes out will be worth hearing.
