I saw this ghastly thing and now I drink to forget it. The Bataan Death March was a walk in the park compared to sitting through that show. The only thing about it that was even remotely interesting was that they danced in flip flops.
And Uggs.
And let us not forget the plex-glass wave that remained on stage for the entire show, even when the action shifted to Manhattan.
I don't know, it's a little hard to "rember" something.

If they had danced in Huarache Sandals it may have turned this show around: - )
"If everybody had an ocean
Across the u.s.a.
Then everybody'd be surfin
Like californi-a
Youd seem em wearing their baggies
HUARACHE SANDALS too
A bushy bushy blonde hairdo
Surfin U.S.A."
bryan - Let it go. If you want a CD of the show, then pay to produce it.
I actually paid to see it twice. Once in previews, and once after it opened to see if it got better. It didn't. Love the Beach Boys, would rather listen to a Beach Boys CD anytime rather than this. So I highly doubt there would be much demand for a cast recording of this bad show when great Beach Boys CDs are available.
I saw it, and thought it was alright. I liked the beach ball and surfing thing.
If they made a recording and it went on sale, I personally wouldn't buy it, but I would be happy if people wanted it and bought it. :)

David Larsen also played Rolf in The Sound of Music at the Hollywood Bowl this summer, was Kenikie in Grease at CLO and is currently playing Link Larkin in Hairspray at North Shore.
And he was Ren in Footloose at KC Starlight.
Yes, it was pretty bad. Titus was good.

Saw it in the workshop version at Vassar the summer before it opened on Broadway. I knew someone in the cast so I was not sorry I went, but had I gone for the artistic merit, I would have been sorely disappointed.

Yes, I should have remembered that since I saw it. :0)
