If a show recoups, they'll usually brag about it. If you don't hear anything, they didn't.

That said this production played on the road for years and was essentially brought to Broadway as a tour stop with a new cast, so the capitalization may be somewhat different in this case.  If this was structured as it's own production then I'd agree it didn't recoup.  If it's structured as an extension of the tour then it probably did.

Not sure why it is closing if it  didn't recoup.  It seems to be doing well as far as gross, unless it has large expenses.
