Yeah. It's been said before.

But it's quite similar, I think she sounds like a delicious mix between Susan Egan and Judy Garland.

Someone PLEASE tell me why she didn't play Sharpay, or at least someone, in HSM? I know she is (was?) on Broadway as Belle, which is obviously the better offer, but I don't think there was conflict with filming the HSM movies.

I'm not trying to be a fangirl, but she's so talented and a Disney name and face, it just seems natural she should have been cast.

I think that she wasn't in HSM for two reasons. The first one was that I think Disney wanted to get a new pool of teens that had never done any disney work before to be in HS. She was in That's So Raven and known from that so that is why they diden't cast her.

Also, I do believe thhat for a while she wanted to go away from the typcial disney roles and do more mature stuff.


And, on a personal note. When I said to her at the stage door that she was gr3eat and that I hoped that she did more theatre she commented that TV pays more. So, I don't know if she will be back on broadway soon.

She was in The MTV movie "Sweet Sixteen" or what ever. She didn't have a big role, maybe 2 lines. When I saw her I was like "What??".

They'd have to pay her more to do High School Musical.

She was already an established "name" before HSM was released.
