Being ANYWHERE in the orchestra is way better than being in the mezz... it just ruins the intimacy CRUCIAL to enjoying the show! Go for E. Have fun -- it's fantastic!!!

Row E Orchestra all the way. I sat in Row A, first seat all the way on the left and had a brilliant view. You'll see everything beautifully from Row E.

I'd definitely go for orchestra for Drowsy. Row E will be great, I was in Row O (on the right side) and it was a great view.

So, that was the Drowsy Chaperone. Oh, I love it so much. I know it's not a perfect show...but it does what a musical is supposed to do. It takes you to another world, and it gives you a little tune to carry with you in your head for when you're feeling blue. Ya know?

Even if you do end up in the Mezz they are also a really great view. I was in the dead last row but saw everything famously.

Agreed...it's not exactly a show reliant on nuance, so I wouldn't say sitting in orchestra seats is "crucial" to the enjoyment of the show. The view from the mezzanine is really pretty great.

But as with almost every show, yes, sitting in the orchestra is preferable. If you have the choice, which apparently you do, I would go with the orchestra seats. It's always nicer to be on the level of the actors, even if it's not essential.
