was going to do beauty and the beast, but didn't, even though i love the song, because of the fact that it's Disney.
Thoughts?

Posted: 7/5/05 at 10:18amI absolutely love the disney classics. Beauty and the Beast is a classic and broadway hit, so I dont see any reason why you would be embarrassed. Unless it was the song "Beauty and the Beast" itself, that, at least to me, doesnt sound right sung by a tenor.

I would second what everyone else has said.
Alan Menken is WONDERFUL, Disney music is great and classic, and Be Prepared has a bunch of SAT words in it. :P
I think its silly not to do the song you want to do just b/c its Disney.

I've been auditioning with Once Upon a Dream for the past 10 years. Disney is too diverse to throw it all out.
