was going to do beauty and the beast, but didn't, even though i love the song, because of the fact that it's Disney.

Thoughts?

I absolutely love the disney classics. Beauty and the Beast is a classic and broadway hit, so I dont see any reason why you would be embarrassed. Unless it was the song "Beauty and the Beast" itself, that, at least to me, doesnt sound right sung by a tenor.

I don't mind it sung by a tenor. I think it sounds great.

The Disney songbook is pretty sublime. Nothing to be ashamed over.

Part of your world is one of my all-time favorite songs.

"If there was a Mount Rushmore for Broadway scores, "West Side Story" would be front and center. It snaps, it crackles it pops! It surges with a roar, its energy and sheer life undiminished by the years" - NYPost reviewer Elisabeth Vincentelli

"Colors of the wind" - every audition of my life.

There's always room for pathos - and jazz hands.

Menken wrote Little Shop also, as well as a lot of Disney classics. Hes' wonderful.

Rosencrantz: "Be happy - if you're not even HAPPY what's so good about surviving? We'll be all right. I suppose we just go on." - from Tom Stoppard's Rosencrantz and Guildenstern are Dead

Be Prepared.

Do you know how many SAT words they stuck in that song?!

I would second what everyone else has said.

Alan Menken is WONDERFUL, Disney music is great and classic, and Be Prepared has a bunch of SAT words in it. :P

I think its silly not to do the song you want to do just b/c its Disney.

I've been auditioning with Once Upon a Dream for the past 10 years. Disney is too diverse to throw it all out.

Well... wasn't aida a disney company thing? If more people knew that then they would be less ashamed, LOL
