Hmmm... i sense a "confrontation" esque song for the finale like in Jekyll and hyde.

Um...the story just doesn't "sing" for me. Maybe it's a failure of my imagination.

I dunno, It has a gritty rock musical feel to me too. Great characters (I can just imagine a tragic Marla number ala a rocked up "on my own") I am interested in seeing this one and how it turns out. In the right hands this could really work, in the wrong hands it could fail miserably.

p.s. I love this movie and have seen it over 25 times...my absolute favourite, plus Chuck Palahniuk is my favourite author

It seems like this would make a far superior play than musical.
I hope I'm wrong.
