I hope they take out the clouds from the projection. That was American Idol cheesy.

Oooh, I like that idea for the start of the second half. I take it the sets are really minimalist here? Are the projections used effectively or does it just make the production seem really 'welfare', for lack of a better word?

There isn't a real set. Think experimental theater (sorta). You can imagine what kind of set they have if they get a few of the actors to come together to form a staircase of sort. You can see racks of costumes on the side too and they push them out once in a while for costume changes (though you wouldn't notice it).
Some projections are cool. I especially like it when they did the David Frost bit. They filmed him on stage as if it was a real TV show. Some were just tacky.

For the most part, I found the projections informative if I happened to look at them but I didn't feel like I was missing out if I didn't happen to see them. There were only a few times where I felt that they were adding something essential (David Frost, at Yoko Ono's art show), but they weren't offensive or distracting (when they weren't giant cherry blossoms or floating clouds, that is 
).
