I mean...*ahem*....I do not have a bootleg copy of the carrie recording. That's wrong.

I have a feeling that it would be really awful, yet irresistible and fun to listen to, but I really have no idea, since I don't have it.

The awfulness of Carrie is completely debateable, lol.
"Out For Blood" has no business having ever been sung on a Broadway stage and "It Hurts to be Strong" is probably one of the worst pop songs ever written, but "Eve Was Weak", "Evening Prayers", "I Remember How Those Boys Could Dance", and "Heaven" sung as an octet rival a lot of material that Sir Andrew Lloyd Webber has ever written (I know I'm gonna get comments about that statement, ha). The rest of the score works well for what it is, for the most part. When they decided to not have a book to the show, hire a cracked out choreographer, and an "artistic" brittish director, that's where many of the problems come in.
And shoot, they made a musical about Cats that ran for ages. That goes to prove ANYTHING can be made into a musical
If Carrie had stayed open longer/or the authors would allow a revival of the show (which has been tried), people'd probably have different opinions about the show, ha.
Bobby :)

I know it's pointless to say it at this point, but...
I agree with Lestat for sure
And I would LOVE a recording of the Threepenny and La Cage revivals

Whoah...at first, I thought bryan didn't even mention Good Vibrations, but he did, so it's ok.
There's a pool to determine the exact date and time he demands producers throw away their own money for a recording simply because the cast deserve to have one. Or he deserves to have one. Or something to that effect.

bryan, my dearest love.
Good vibrations was released a month and a half ago but it was limited. I think they only made like 500 but I know they sold quickly. I think they somehow made sure that the people that bought them didn't post numerous threads on BWW about the same thing though.
Fortunately, I've got mine.
I don't know how I would have lived otherwise. I will, however, put in my will for the CD to be yours when I pass away.

"Welcome To The Club"

Ditto for Welcome To The Club which was resurrected off broadway under the title "Exactly like You " I believe
Neither got a cast album. Fun shows

"Is it any good?"
The score of Carrie has some great moments, especially the Mother/Daughter duets but the staging was just horrifying (not in the good way
)
Personally I'd really like Lestat to be released, the show wasn't very good but there were some very beautiful moments that I would like to hear again. Just as I'm still curious at the Dracula the musical recording from Frank Wilhdorn that I think will never be released for unknown reason.
And a full cast recording of Bare, but that's not gonna happen either... :)

There are three recordings of the authentic version of "Dance Of The Vampires"
* The phenomenal 2-CD "Tanz Der Vampire" Original Vienna Cast available in both highlights & complete (one of the best produced cast albums I've ever heard in my life)
* The Warsaw cast recording "Taniec Wampirow" and
* The Tokyo cast recording "Das Musical Tanz Der Vampire"
If you want an English recording, settle for the sensational demos with Steve Barton. That's all you ever need to hear, pretend that the Broadway one never existed
re: flops shows that need to be on cd#46
Posted: 3/7/07 at 11:55pmI really want a Lestat cd. Also (though it wasnt a flop) think the Threepenny opera revival should have been recorded and was a shame it wasnt.

Posted: 3/8/07 at 1:12pmI second (3rd) "The Times They are a-Changin'." I sorta assembled a makeshift version on my iPod, but I'd so much rather have those great Dylan songs... not sung by Dylan. The leads I saw (Brescia, Sesma, and Wooten) were awesome.
